Yorkshire BSAC skill development courses - 2007

We charge £200 for new members with no qualifications - this covers:

• Pool training (as many weeks as it takes you to be proficient in basic diving skills- usually 6 weeks)
• We will loan you a cylinder, stab jacket and regulator for the duration of your pool training.
• A Diving manual and Qualifications Record book, and all training notes.
• One year's membership of BSAC (provides third party insurance and monthly Dive magazine)
• One year's membership of Sheffield branch
• Use of the pool for swimming and training
• Use of Club Boat (just share usage costs)

Your second year's membership is £145 - and you can take your training as far as you want within this cost. We would like all members to progress at least as far as Sports Diver, which includes rescue training.

You will also require to certify that you are fit for diving.
We recommend trainees buy their own masks, fins and snorkels (we will advise you of the best equipment to buy).
You will also need to hire or buy a wet-suit or dry-suit for open water dives, and there will be costs associated with these dives.
