Pool closure
There are three pool sessions that will be cancelled in July/Aug/Sept.

July 28th & Aug 4th have been cancelled by Ponds Forge, due to swimming championships.

Sept 1st is cancelled as it is the session following the Aug Bank Holiday.

However, Aug 4th will be a curry meal, hopefully at the Rajput in
Commonside (byo drink, no corkage).
Sept 1 will be a social occasion, details yet to be confirmed.

Socials
· If you haven’t already signed up for the bowling this Saturday, Feb 20th. Get in touch with Steve to see if there are any spaces remaining. Promises to be a great evening.
· Other events are in the planning so keep watching your emails and get down to the pub on Wednesday evenings to find out and sign up.
· Reminder about the first Wednesday of every month – it’s sandwich night – So far, this has been a complete failure due to the extreme, adverse weather conditions meaning most people weren’t able to get down to the pool or pub. Those who did make it gorged themselves! We will keep it going into March so please try to make March 3rd at the pub and enjoy the sandwiches, we’ll see how this goes and decide whether to continue or not. We also intend to officially launch the website and show some diving videos from club trips. Should be fun.
· Dinner Dance – we should all diary date Friday July 2nd as this is the date of our annual dinner dance to be held at the Rutland Hotel, Glossop Road, S10. Every year this has been a fantastic evening of fun, food and wine, with dancing (some would argue my movements should not be called dancing!!) and music. Tickets are on sale shortly, a £10 deposit to myself or Louisa will secure your place. Partners most welcome, posh frocks and djs/smart dress code please. We have a cap of 50 so please would all attending club members book early.

Annual General Meeting
The club AGM is going to be held on Monday 19th April at the Fat Cat pub. This is an opportunity for the whole club to discuss relevant issues and vote for the incoming committee. Nominations are needed for all club committee posts, so we all need to think how best we might contribute to our club by volunteering for a post or nominating someone.

Monday 19th April is also curry night at the Fat Cat, with a bargain food and drink deal so we are hoping to make it bit of a social too.

A new award.
It's a fact that sometimes things don't always go to plan! But then there are those that don't plan ahead...... with appropriate results:)
In recognition of the most memorable blunder of the year, we are going to award a rather nice trophy -

If you are unfortunate enough to deserve it, at least it can take pride of place on the mantle piece!!
